Fearless BND is the worship team of the multi-campus Fearless Church based in California. The collection of young, creative minds has come together time and time again to create musical masterpieces, each dedicated to praising the name of our Heavenly Father. The worship team has released Christian music since 2017. But, their impact as Christ-followers began long before that.
By instilling their community with hope and consistently working to broaden their reach, Fearless BND is a shining example of believers being the hands and feet of Christ. It was an honor to write these devotionals about two of their latest singles, "Courageous" and "Holy Ghost."
"Courageous"
I'm courageous in Your presence
At the name of Jesus
All fear and shame have gotta go
Not afraid, not afraid
Fearless BND exemplifies their name. And they fight fear head-on in this powerful anthem. Their biography describes fear as one of the major factors that held them back from being dream-chasers for many years. It is, therefore, fitting that their name crushes the devil's schemes and shouts victory by the power of Jesus.
They continue this declaration in "Courageous," which is an inspiring melody about our position in Christ. In Him, we are courageous and "Chosen by You/for greater things." There is nothing on earth that holds us back when we have Christ by our side. Struggles come and obstacles stand in our way, but His reigning power cannot be defeated. And it is with an unwavering trust in His faithfulness that I step into my day today.
"Holy Ghost"
You were right by my side
When all my wrongs were made right
And even in my darkest night
Your spirit in me, gave me life
Praise God that there is nothing I could ever do that is too terrible for Him to redeem. Hallelujah for the fact that even on the darkest nights, in the midst of my longest wave of tears, He has the power to push through it all. He doesn't see me as the world does, as a reflection of my sins, but rather as a child made clean the moment He died and rose again.
His sacrifice was for the purpose of my peace today, but not just for me; it was for everyone who lives, all who came before me, and all who will come.
I'm not going to lie, there are many days when I simply can't comprehend that intense level of love. It's too vast and grand a move for me to ever make and my mind can't seem to wrap around it. But then again, there are times when He simplifies it just enough to tell me "I love you" and that's when it means the most.
"I always sink when they swim/But you came in/You Broke through/Raise me up so I could sing/You're the everlasting God." To whoever is reading this today, I hope you're able to resonate with these lyrics. I would like to leave you with the phrase of spontaneous worship they carry throughout this song, "Don't you dare give up this fight."
