Each week, dozens of singles and a handful of projects are released in the Christian Hip-Hop (CHH) and Urban Soul spaces. Eshon Burgundy - "Blue Skies"
Philidelphia native and CHH veteran Eshon Burgundy bless the people with hopes of heaven on his latest single. The contents take a creative spin on the atypical "Jesus is coming back" branded song. Burgundy speaks of the beauty of what God's handcrafting for His people once this earth expires; New Jerusalem. For nearly the first two minutes, Burgundy engages in an acapella-like approach with no instruments or sounds except his elite bars and a soft harmony in the background. As the track begins to unleash harsh 808's aside high hats, Burgundy's flow doesn't skip a beat. Addictions & Afflictions EP by BigGucciDame Florida's rapper BigGucciDame has remained busy all of 2022. He dropped 14 singles and his first EP of the year. Dame provides a positive, God-honoring alternative to the standard hip-hop heard across the radio waves. His style reaks of energy, harmonies, faith, and relatability. Dame speaks on topics the average joe would encounter at some point in their young adult life. "Pop Out!" and "L.E.T.A.J (Let Me Talk About Jesus)" are two of my favorites off the 6-track EP. A3 - "SOMETIMES IT GETS LOUD"
South Texan A3 created an anthem for the dance floor as the fall season begins. Capping out at just over 90 seconds, the track is perfect for use on TikTok or Instagram for your reels and stories. It's high energy, creative, and smothered in some of the hardest 808's to drop in 2022. A3 already released one of the top EPs of the year a few months back, as he finishes up strong at year's end.
