Jay-Way - "Love Me, Love Me Not" 4 Against 5's eclectic artist Jay-Way drops his first new music since August of last year. He's a creative hip to the fashion and art scene overall; a true innovator. His latest single revolves around the topics of love, relationship, and brokenness; perfect for a Valentine's vibe. One incredible aspect of CHH is its diversity. Some artists focus on theology while others focus on relatability. It's a rarity artists focus on relationships outside of marriage within CHH, as it's refreshing to hear such topics discussed which most of our younger generations can relate to and connect with.Jay-Way is showcasing a continued story throughout his singles and the music released, so pay close attention. The soundscape elements of the flute and piano are brilliant additions to the standard 808s and high hats of current CHH tracks. Phil J. - "SIMPLE"
RMG Amplify's Phil J. releases his first new music of 2023. He's circling back to the basics, the simpler lifestyle. He's in no need of the finer things or the chase for luxury, as the simplicity around mustard seed-like faith and being surrounded by family are keys to happiness. Phil J. is a lover of music as a whole, who has near-perfected the soulful sounds vocalized from his own creative juices. Whether it's harmonies and melodies are a fire string of sixteens in hip-hop form, his art is beautiful. His talents on the production side are an entire different level of mastery. One Of One EP by Tylynn
Nebraska-based rapper/singer/songwriter Tylynn dropped her second EP of 2023 and we're only two months in! Tylynn is an up-and-coming artist creating music deeply rooted in her faith walk and personal experiences. Last month's Journalling in Winter EP highlighted her talents with harmonies and singing while the current release focused on her talents as an emcee spitting sixteens. Both releases proved how widespread Tylynn's abilities and talents expand.
My favorite tracks personally are the title track, "Choose Me," and "Pop Like This." The production truly stands out too. It's not just smothered with 808's and high hats like most of what CHH currently offers. Little gifts of sound are found throughout from whistles to tempo changes sprinkled with bells and piano keys.
