Christian rock bands have released several must-listen songs and groundbreaking albums in the last few months. We're also getting exciting news from bands who've been quiet for some time. These new releases come from independent artists, proving that careers and great music can be made independently. Here's a round-up of great singles and records for you to enjoy.
World Gone Cold - "Opposites Attract"
Let's welcome World Gone Cold, a new Christian rock supergroup comprised of members of other Christian rock bands. The lineup includes Ryland Raus of Attack! Attack! / Inhale Exhale, Traa Daniels of P.O.D., Andrew Stanton of Disciple, Yogi Watts of Demon Hunter, and Mark Anthony of The Letter Black. The Rockfest Records-signed band has released its first explosive single, "Opposites Attract." Please give it a listen and let us know what you think.
Decyfer Down - "Cycles"
Christian southern rock legends Decyfer Down is back with their electrifying new single, "Cycles," reminiscent of their early music. The song is hard rock at its core, with lead singer TJ Harris delivering a powerful vocal performance that truly shines. After seven long years of waiting, this release was well worth it. I eagerly await to hear what's next.
Holyname - HolyName
Christian rockers HolyName have released their debut, self-titled record, an instant classic for the Christian metal and rock scene. Folk-rock musician Joe Holt and former Sleeping Giant frontman Tommy Green came up with the idea for HolyName during the lockdown. They contacted friends from their church community nationwide to collaborate on a worship "mix tape." They released music in 2021 and 2022. But now you have the main event. Expect more music to come.
