Aable feat. DJ Mykael V - "PARKA FREESTYLE"
Philly and Ripe Music's own Aable drops the "PARKA FREESTYLE" single; a reimagined track equipped with new production and unique verses from the Holy Smoke Festival in Atlanta during 2022. As quoted on Instagram, the lyrical contents of this freestyle are personal and special to Aable. The bars expressed represent a God-prepared moment in his music career worth celebrating. Iconic indie tribe. deejay and hype man DJ Mykael V appears on the track as an introduction to statement hip-hop expression. The track includes two of my favorite aspects of the genre too, tagged as a freestyle and an impressive beat switch-up mid-track. 

The lyrical stampede throughout touches on a variety of topics pays homage to CHH greats like Beautiful Eulogy and contains thought-provoking quotables every few seconds. "Bro chosen, the flow frozen, I need a parka," relays Aable just before he unleashes freestyle dominance. KB - "Glory 2 Glory"
Sony Entertainment and South Florida's own KB released his third single of 2023. The acoustic version of "Graves" featuring Brandon Lake, "EZ" and now "Glory 2 Glory" all represent tracks included on KB's forthcoming album titled, His Glory Alone 2. The album is set to release on August 11 and may be pre-ordered on iTunes here. 

The latest single begins with a classic Fred Hammond sample meshed perfectly with the concept behind the track. Listen for an iconic praise break followed by one of the best lyrical assaults found on any track from this year. Brilliantly behind the switch of tempo, another seamless beat switch-up can be discovered. With all the elements combined, this very well may be one of my top KB favorites since his debut in 2011.
