In August 2023, the Christian radio network K-LOVE returned live at Red Rocks for the third consecutive year. Set at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater outside of Denver, Colorado, K-LOVE brought two nights of Christian music to check off a bucket list experience for artists and fans alike. Their on-demand team captured the event, and the program is set to show in theaters nationwide from November 6 to 7, 2023.
Weather Challenges
Having been at the event, the weather was one of the big stories. It delayed soundchecks on night one and affected the show's start. On night two, it was clear until about midway through the show, and then a storm forced nearly an hour delay. Through this all, the on-demand team captured the excitement and the emotion while blending the two days seamlessly. Through both interviews and in the concert moments, you will hear stories about the storms woven in throughout.
One of the things that I love most about this K-LOVE on-demand Red Rocks show is how the stories are woven in through the songs. We hear the story of how God moved through the life of the artists to write the song; then, we get to listen to the music and see how it’s reaching those in attendance that night. One such story is the life behind contemporary band CAIN’s song "Windows Down." The Cain siblings, Taylor, Madison, and Logan, shared how God worked through Logan’s wife, Emily, in her sobriety journey.
Side note: This segment takes me back to that night and the emotion of seeing Emily watch as this song played at an iconic venue. She was standing on the edge of the imaginary line between the stage and the side stage with tears of joy. I can only imagine it was a mix of remembering God's work and the moment's awe.
Jeremy Camp's Bucket List
One theme throughout this show is the artist's awe at praising God in such an iconic and beautiful venue. In his interview, famous contemporary artist Jeremy Camp shares how playing this show is a bucket list experience for him. After a heavy thunderstorm almost cut short his first Red Rocks show, you can see Jeremy's joy in returning and finishing the set he had been so excited about.

These were extraordinary nights to be a part of, and I’m thankful I can relive them through this show. Steve, Jess, and the K-LOVE on-demand team produced a fantastic show for not only those of us who were there but also to share the experience with those who couldn’t be there. Seeing this in a theater is going to be amazing.
