In this article, the NewReleaseToday team takes a few moments to share their in-arena experiences attending Winter Jam.
Kansas City (Jan. 21)
It's hard to pick just one favorite Winter Jam moment, especially since this year's artist lineup has been one of my favorites for several years. But the moment that stood out most to me was LIN D's set. I've started getting more familiar with their music lately and have been loving it, so I was most excited to see them live during pre-Jam, and they didn't disappoint.
They have such a polished, enjoyable pop and R&B sound but still clearly convey the message of a relationship with Jesus in every song. They incorporate choreography into their performance, and I loved the dance moment in their song "Let Go."
My favorite song of theirs, and my favorite moment in their set, was "Breathe Again." Before getting into the song, one of the band members, Ella Lindeh, took a moment to encourage the crowd and share how the song came from a part of her story. Although it's a massive pop anthem perfect for arenas, the band paused to kneel during the last chorus. God's presence drew the entire room's attention and took their breath away.
Suppose you see the Christian band LIN D live this year on Winter Jam or elsewhere. In that case, it will be a treat because they seamlessly combine pop music, fun, and high energy with a genuine encounter with Jesus, and it's extraordinary to experience.

Reading, Pennsylvania (Jan. 25)
I’ve attended Winter Jam in Reading, Pennsylvania, every year since 2009, and this most recent lineup in 2024 was one of my favorites over the past 15 years. I interviewed LIN D, CAIN, and Katy Nichole beforehand on-site for behind-the-song devotionals. My favorite moment of the night was Katy’s stellar set. I welled up in many songs, especially “Hold On.” I’ve personally struggled with depression, worry, and anxiety. The song gives me hope and reminds me not to give up. I listen to “Hold On” daily to remind me of God’s feelings about me. Katy hopes to pass on the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. She powerfully urges in this song, "Just wait 'til you see what's at the end of the road/A new life is ready to unfold."
As Romans 8:11 puts it, allow the Holy Spirit to cast the light of life into your mortal bodies. If you’re struggling with depression, please know with certainty these life-giving words: “Your promise, it still stands/It's chasing after me/The rainbow through storm clouds/Is how I'm gonna see/That there is a light that's waiting up ahead.” Know that being His is enough.
“Hold On” has become my anthem. I sing along at the top of my lungs to the sincere and passionate lyrics of submission: “Just wait ‘til you see what’s at the end of the road; a new life is about to unfold/Hold on just a little bit longer, I know it’s gonna be okay, these days are gonna make you stronger, there’s purpose in pain.” Amen to that.

Nashville, Tennessee (Feb. 16)
This year marked ten years of my attending Winter Jam in my city of Nashville, Tennessee, and it was a special one with so many standout moments. One of this year's pre-Jam openers, LIN D, stood out. I've been a huge fan of theirs for a while, and they still blew my expectations out of the water with their infectious pop music, powerful lyrics, and fun dance moments. Another pre-Jam artist, SEU Worship, was one of my favorites. I've loved their music for years, so finally hearing them was a powerful experience. Their songs "Deep Dive" and "Monday Morning Faith" have meant so much to me. Hearing them live and worshiping along with thousands of people singing these lyrics that have pointed me to follow Jesus through some dark moments of my life was a stunning moment of unity and faith over the night.
One of my favorite highlights was seeing my friend and rising pop artist, Joseph O'Brien, take the stage—on his birthday—to sing a couple of songs. I was hyped and proud to watch him as he gave a fantastic acoustic pop performance of one of my all-time favorite songs, "Take Your Time."
Artists like Katy Nichole, Seventh Day Slumber, and Lecrae gave excellent performances and shared their stories of how God has changed their lives. Their powerful songs, along with their heart to remind everyone of God's love that rescues and restores us, always touch me. I love Winter Jam and continue to be moved by so many styles of music, reaching people of every group with the truth that they are loved by a God who sees them and has given them a purpose worth living for in His grace and freedom.

Greensboro, North Carolina (Feb. 24)
This was my first time attending Winter Jam in several years, and it was as impressive as I remembered. My favorite thing about the tour is the variety of music. Whether your preferred genre is rock, pop, hip-hop, or praise and worship, there’s something for everyone.
This was my first time seeing CAIN, and I enjoyed their performance. Their songs are so catchy and easy to sing along with. “I’m So Blessed” and “Made for Heaven” were two of my favorites of theirs.
My favorite moment of the night was when Crowder took the stage. His setlist included upbeat, energetic, and slower worship-style songs. His performance of “God Really Loves Us” was powerful: “What a Father, what a Friend, what a Savior He is.” I loved singing these lyrics along with thousands of other people. I believe moments like that give us a taste of what heaven will be like.
