Lecrae feat. for KING & COUNTRY - "I Still Believe" Reach Records' Lecrae teams up once again with Curb Records' for KING & COUNTRY for a certified hit. Previously, the trio hopped on a track for Lecrae's Anomaly in 2014 for the Grammy-winning single "Messengers." Currently, the song has over 12 million streams on Spotify alone.
Joel and Luke Smallbone contribute to the powerful piano-laced introduction as well as the chorus throughout. "I Still Believe" centers around the idea of keeping the faith regardless of the struggles, obstacles, and pain vividly surrounding our day-to-day outlook. Behind hallowing voice echoes and a retrospective boom-bap beat, Lecrae expresses the troubles faced, difficulties seen, and responds with trust, faith, and hope. Talk To Me Nice by Jered Sanders Virginia's own independent revered artist Jered Sanders returns with his first album since leaving Bizzle's God Over Money label in 2020. A four-year hiatus was mainly attributed to being unmotivated, uninspired, and overly critical on self per Sanders' words. Around May of last year, he picked up the pen again and wrote four projects in little over half of a year. This project was one of them and Sanders is only getting started for 2024.
Prior to the release of the album, Sanders dropped three singles between November and February of 2024. The album contains 12 tracks total with the last song offering a double dose. On par with other albums, relative snippets from various media sources are included providing a classic hip-hop feel. Rare anymore are the inclusion of interludes or the overall storytelling feel throughout. However, Sanders has always done a profound job with particular hip-hop elements which should never fade.
A collection of producers added to the credits from the project ranging from Young Swisher Beats, Encore, Stotic, and a handful of others. Only two tracks, "Blessing" and "Back Up" included featured artists such as Mission, Selah the Corner, and William Cata. Fans are treated to a healthy dose of pure lyricism from Sanders. Favorite tracks include "Back Up," "Uh Huh," and "Kobe's Back." FERN feat. AJ Ramos - "GUAC"
With Marty already dropping hits in 2024 with two released singles and a third scheduled for March 22 ("Golf Course Meetings"), Social Club Misfits set to release new music all year. FERN dropped his first solo song of this year featuring Latin cultural influencer AJ Ramos. The song speaks to those times when we're involved in turmoil and turn everything over to God. Also, it vocalizes the perspective of a rapper whose been through it all and seen too much. One who jumped off the proverbrial "corporate ladder" to return to roots and connect directly with the people.
