“All Because of Mercy” by veteran contemporary band Casting Crowns is a worshipful reminder of the gospel. All your sins have been forgiven if you have faith in Jesus. You develop a personal relationship with Him and hope to spend eternal life with Him. Your life has been transformed, and it continues to be transformed as the Holy Spirit helps you become more like Jesus. All of those are incredible reasons to praise God.

Christians must always remember and convey to others that their spiritual blessings aren't a result of their own goodness or works. In a world that often promotes the message of "I am enough," it's crucial to acknowledge that these blessings come from a higher power, not from our own efforts.

Before coming to know Jesus, our natural bent is toward disobedience, but we still do good things in life. But Jesus' message teaches us that even our good works aren’t enough to fix our broken relationship with God and forgive our sins. Salvation isn’t a reward for what we have done; it’s a gift God gives us because of His mercy and grace.

If you need a song to help you praise God for what He’s done in your life through His Son Jesus or to help you explain the gospel to someone else, give “All Because of Mercy” a listen.

Ephesians 2:8-10: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it, for we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Lyrics

I could stand here
And try to tell you
I found my way here on my own
Brought to life this heart of stone
Made up my own mind
To change my own life
Working my own way to good
As if anybody could
But the truth is I’ve been broken since my very first breath
And the truth is I’ve been wandering since my very first step
I know the only reason
I can stand here unashamed
Is not because I’m worthy
It’s all because of mercy
There’s no way that I could earn it
Praise God, my debt is paid
It’s not because I’m worthy
It’s all because of mercy
