MercyMe's latest single "Always Only Jesus" reminds us to lift up the name of Jesus and the lyrics tell us why. No love is greater than His love. No other name can bring freedom to our lives but His. He is the Creator and has all power over everything He has made. He's the giver of our very breath. He is our Savior. He took on sin, conquered it on our behalf, and reconciled us to God. And because of this we pour out worship to His name only, forever. His name is above every other name.

It's so important for  us to remember the character of Jesus and how holy (set apart) He is and why we worship Him with our lives and our songs. It's why the Psalms are so helpful because they teach us about who God is and why we praise Him. I love the Gospels for that reason too because we get to see the power of Jesus at work to make Himself known and to change people's lives. And in that same spirit, that's what "Always Only Jesus" does too. As you listen to this song, remember the name of Jesus is the highest name and the only name that's worthy of your praise.

Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT): "Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Lyrics

There's no greater love than Yours
That tells the dead to sleep no more
With just the sound, chains will break
There is freedom in Your name
There is freedom in Your name
Every breath I'm breathing will be filled with praise
Just for one name, always only Jesus
Let my heart cry holy and my hands be raised
Just for one name, always only Jesus
Fill the earth, flood the sky
Let all creation magnify
The righteous will sing as evil shakes
Thеre is power in Your name
Thеre is power in Your name, yeah
Every breath I'm breathing will be filled with praise
Just for one name, always only Jesus
Let my heart cry holy and my hands be raised
Just for one name, always only Jesus
