Greg Long is both a solo artist and a member of the contemporary Christian pop group Avalon. Long was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He began singing at the age of 2, in his father's revivals. He is married to fellow Avalon member Janna Long and they have three daughters: Lillian, Julia, and Eleanor.
Greg and Janna are also staff worship leaders at Woodlands Church just north of Houston, Texas. They left Nashville and moved to Texas in December of 2009 to serve with Pastor Kerry Shook.
Greg's solo career has produced an ASCAP Award, two Dove Award nominations, and multiple number one singles, including "How Long?" (a duet with Margaret Becker), "What a Friend", "Think About Jesus", and "Love The Lord". His albums include Cross My Heart (1994), Days Of Grace (1996), Jesus Saves (1998), Now (2001), and Born Again (2004).
