Precious Death was the metal band of Los Angeles in the
early 90s. They were the main attraction at the Whiskey, the
Roxy, Gazzaris, were the regular band for KNAC nights in
Orange County and LA, toured the country, played at packed
festivals, sold a ton of records, and then disappeared.
PD made a lot of incredible music in the 90s, but the record that
stands out as a classic, is Southpaw. It had it all. Great
production, songwriting, vocals, guitars, percussion. They
redefined what people were doing, while compromising nothing.
It was their masterpiece. It won album of the year at the Los
Angeles music awards was nominated twice by the GMA music
awards, besides getting rave reviews in every major rock music
magazine in the US and Europe.
