It's been a whirlwind start for the worship band, Anchordown. Based out of Reno, NV, in one of the top 3 un-churched counties in the country, the band was born from a gathering in Reno called Living Stones. The band has just come off of a national win at a battle of 175 bands in Houston, TX. (See video below.)
In the fall of 2006, after 11 days in the studio with producer Will Hunt (Bethany Dillon, Shane & Shane, Shawn McDonald, Derek Webb), "Speaks So Still" a record with a very unique sound, was crafted and has been received well from every audience.
In April of 2007, they recorded a new single, "the Wait" with 4 time Grammy winning producer Randy Miller and are shooting their first music video with Bayou City Productions (Essential Records) summer 2007.
Anchordown is comprised of Donald Zimmerman, Aaron Mueller, Brennen Daley, Cory Bettinghouse, and Tim Millim.
Their style incorporates acoustic-driven rock, electronic samples/loops, and some indie finger in your eye.
