Kristina Bubar arrived on the Christian music scene with not one, but two projects: Bare My Soul and Hymns: The Old Made New, both from Christian music label Devotion Music. In a remarkably ambitious debut year, Kristina watched her first single "You Alone" quickly climb the charts in the U.S. and Canada and then broke the top 20 (Radio and Records and Christian Radio Weekly) with her second single "Come to Me"; a worthy feat for any independent artist. Kristina also won "Inspirational Album of the Year" at the 2005 Covenant Awards and was nominated as "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the 2005 SHAI Awards (formerly the Vibe Awards) in Canada. Extensive touring has seen her share the stage with such artists as Natalie Grant, Chris Rice, Salvador and Jamie Slocum. And as if radio and live performances weren't enough, Kristina has also made numerous television appearances, including performances on 100 Huntley Street, It's a New Day and Good Morning Arizona (the #1 independent morning show in the U.S.).
At the production helm of Bare My Soul and Hymns: The Old Made New is award-winning producer, songwriter and label president Billy Smiley. Throughout his career, Smiley has helped develop, produce and/or write for such artists as Amy Grant, Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman, Clay Aiken and his own band White Heart. So it's no wonder that some of the industry's top players lined up for the opportunity to work with Kristina, including Steve Brewster (Drums - Jewel, Faith Hill), Blair Masters (Programming & Keys - Garth Brooks, Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman), Matt Pierson (Bass - Michael W. Smith, Out Of the Grey), John Catchings (Cello - Michael Card), and Mark Baldwin (Classical Guitar - Amy Grant, Michelle Tumes).
