If you've spent more than two decades traveling throughout the Caribbean and all over the planet, does it influence the kind of music you write? In the case of Bill Mallia it has. Bill serves up Christian music that's garnished with a smile and served under a palm tree and many have come to refer to him as the "Jimmy Buffett of the contemporary Christian music scene". His distinctive song writing style has made his music completely unique amongst all other Christian music performers today - happy, feel good, sunshiny tunes with overtly Christian lyrics.
What's the mission? To minister to joy-starved Christian's and show non-Christians that there is nothing better than a complete, personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
Bill tours both regionally in the Northeast United States along with a number of national and international events as well. He plays everywhere from Christian nightclubs/coffeehouses to large international cruise ships. This is a God blessed act that is billed as "Christian Entertainment" and concerts are known as "the most fun a Christian can while wearing an Aloha shirt". This means that with Bill, fans can expect to get a lot more than just music.
When Bill is not traveling to someplace where the ocean water is over 70°, he can be found in the Cape Cod area; Plymouth to be exact. He plays the role of left-handed guitar guy at the First Baptist Church Duxbury (Massachusetts) and spends his non-musical time as a husband, father, travel writer, web designer, fly fisherman, sailor and overall seeker of God's never-ending blessings.
