Peder Eide (I'd) has spent much of the last decade serving God and the church as a full-time national singer/songwriter and speaker. Peder ministers to over 100,000 students a year throughout all of North America at national gatherings, festivals, conferences, conventions, concerts, and churches. His love for young people fuels his ministry with the desire to encourage, challenge, and motivate people to a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
Peder has 10 recording projects to his name. His most recent recording, Taste and See features fresh, original music, unlike anything you have heard from Peder before. Working for the second time with Nashville, TN based producer Paul Marino, Peder has put together 10 songs which will satisfy fans both old and new. Ranging from the high energy praise songs Taste and See and As Is, to the passionate worship of Abba, I Belong To You and Holy Ground, you will be exhilarated as you take the ride with Peder. On What A Ride, you will be treated to the edgy sound of The Reason We Live which was a featured theme song for the 2003 ELCA National Youth Gathering.
According to Peder, "God has given us this life as a gift. It's by His grace that we have been called to make this life count, not just last. This CD is one that from start to finish, the sound, performances, production, and most of all, the purpose and message of each song, exceeded my highest expectations. It is a rare blessing when a musician can make that claim." Recently, The 700 Club TV program featured Peder's music and testimony for it's 7 million plus viewers.
Peder's message is one of hope and victory. Peder lost his mother in an automobile accident just prior to his freshmen year in high school and his father in a fire in the early 90's. Through these and other struggles in his life, Peder found the love of Christ and the grace of God to be the only sustaining power upon which he could rely. In return for God's goodness, Peder promised the Lord that he would dedicate his life to reaching others with the Gospel.
"My goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to students through music, audience participation, and my example. I want to build them up and encourage them in their faith, and let them know that they are loved and valuable. I don't want them to feel just an emotional high, but I want to challenge them to make a commitment that strengthens their faith and gives them the confidence to keep on living a Christ centered life."
Peder's music has been featured on over 300 plus radio stations and has appeared on TV programs such as At Home Live, Live From Studio B and Cornerstone's Focus 4
