E Nomine is is a project by German producers Christian Weller and Fritz Graner. They have referred to their highly idiosyncratic style as "monumental dance", combining trance/techno musical styles with vocals heavily influenced by Gregorian chant. Much of the vocal material is performed by synchronis speakers, who do the voice-overs for German-language versions of American and British movies. Back-up vocal tracks are provided by a chorus, usually singing in Latin. The duo first teamed up in 1999 for the single "Vater Unser", which was incorporated into the LP release Das Testament later that same year. E Nomine has since released two other full-length albums, Finsternis (2002) and Die Prophezieung (2003), as well as a "best-of" compilation in 2004. After a long hiatus, E Nomine released a new single, "Heilig", in 2008.
