While he is most widely known for his inspiring years with the contemporary Christian rock group, David & the Giants, David Huff’s musical journey is far from over.
Born and raised in Pineville, Mississippi, David developed a keen appreciation for country and truly soulful music. At an early age David learned to “sense and feel” the music in the world around him from the raw grit of early southern rock to the moody, mournful cries of the blues.
David formed the band David & the Giants featuring Keith Thibodeaux known as "Little Ricky" of the I Love Lucy Show and David's twin brothers Clayborn and Rayborn Huff. During these years touring heavily as a secular band David was signed with Capitol Records, MGM Records, United Artist Records, and CBS Records.
However, after a newfound relationship with Jesus Christ, David Huff sought to change the very foundation of the group – to Jesus. David began using his gift of musicianship to “reach the unreachable” and ministered alongside his band mates producing 17 projects with songs like “Here’s My Heart” and others topping radio charts. "I thank the Lord for all the years with my brothers Rayborn, Clayborn, Keith and my son Lance who had such a great part of my journey with the Lord" says David Huff.
David Huff launched his solo career aimed at the continued spreading of the message of God’s love through his music. Songs like “My Song of Praise” and “You Saved My Life” from his five solo projects have topped Radio Charts.
While his artistry always remains at the forefront, David also owns Huff Recording Studio where he has recorded a vast array of artists such as Chris Tomlin, Vicki Yoh’e, Doyle Dykes, The Williams Brothers, KC & Jo Jo, Tommy Sims, and many others.
David Huff has successfully recorded a song that has already touched the very soul of all who have listened. “Speak Your Name” is the latest release from David Huff’s album Born for This.
In this latest release, fans will be exposed to a perfect song for Worship of our Savior, Jesus Christ, designed to be the most motivating and captivating music produced in his recent years. The new release “Speak Your Name” is designed to thrill fans and directly link with their inner souls and hearts; thereby drawing them closure to the knowledge of God’s love; whether they are veteran fans to his music or first timers.
David’s original musical group, David & The Giants peacefully disbanded in 1997 leading to his decision to pursue his solo career in music. After he went solo, he produced his debut album; Really in 2000 followed by Proclaim in 2003, Do You Know What I Mean in 2008, Living in The Future in 2012, Wait in 2013, and Born for This in 2016 and the new recording of “I Was the Nails” for this past Easter.
“We all were born with a purpose on this Earth. We have to know and find what we were born for. I have found mine, which is to continue to spread the message of God’s love through music. With my unreserved passion and dedication, I will continue to ensure that my fans will always get the most fascinating and life changing message from my music” said David Huff.
It is amazing to hear how Jesus Christ changed David's life during his musical career. He loves to share his testimony during his concerts and watch as people give their lives to Jesus Christ.
