My name is Bob Rice, and my goal in life is the share the love of God to every person I meet with every gift God has given me. I have been transformed by this love, and I'm excited to share it with you!
I live a very blessed life. I have an amazing wife, Jennifer, and 4 beautiful kids: John, Kolbe, Bobby, and Elliana. For those of you wondering, "Elliana" is Hebrew for "God has answered me"- which is exactly how Jen felt after having three boys!
More blessings are on the way for us in early December when we are going to have our fifth child.
I guess I do a lot of different things, but to me it seems the same: I get to tell people about how much God loves them. The main way I do that is as a professor at Franciscan University where I teach catechetics (that's the fancy Catholic word for "passing on the faith"). But I also get to do it through concerts, speaking, and improvisational comedy.
There are a number of things I am passionate about. I am passionate about my family. I'm passionate about the music I do. But the thing that fuels all of these passions is my love for Jesus Christ, who I fully experience in the Catholic Church, especially in the Eucharist. And where would I be if not for the intercession of His mother, Mary?
God is the reason for meeting my wife and having my family. He's the reason I write and sing music. He's the reason I'm in Steubenville, Ohio teaching at Franciscan. He's the reason I have this web page! To quote a song, "He's the reason that I'm living, and He's gonna be the reason when I die."
So thanks for visiting me. I hope there is something here that blesses you

I saw Bob Rice at a retreat I went to at Franciscan University. He's got some pretty catchy songs. "Shining Like the Son" and "Witness" are my favorite Bob Rice songs.
