Dana Jorgensen has been in full time music ministry for three years. The journey on which God has brought Dana to the place he is now, both spiritually and musically, is nothing short of amazing.
Dana grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, playing hockey on backyard rinks and frozen ponds. He excelled at hockey, but when he suffered the last of 8 dangerous concussions and broke several major bones, he was forced to give up hockey and his dreams of playing in the NHL. Although Dana could not see the good in God closing the door at that time, little did he know that God would soon open doors in a new area of his life.
After exploring several avenues touring with singing groups and bands, Dana decided to move to Vancouver, British Columbia, to pursue music on his own. In Vancouver Dana quickly connected with a great church and began leading worship. After three years of honing his music skills and being stretched spiritually, Dana was invited to come to Nashville, Tennessee, and tour with an artist. Dana accepted the offer and never looked back; he has been living in Nashville since 2005.
Dana travels North America leading worship, sharing his music and telling his story of what God has done in his life with thousands of adults and youth. "I would have to say that there is nothing like a couple hundred youth all in a room pumped and ready to worship," Dana says. "There is just something electric about leading people into worship with our heavenly Father and it excites me to have been given the opportunity to do this full time."
