With Christian rock and post hardcore bands on the rise, Texas has been overflowing with talent, Everthorn is one such band from central Texas. Taking inspiration from various influences, Everthorn has become a modern rock band with marketable choruses and a screaming passion about their message. The guitars sing melodies and thrash riffs while the drums synchronize with pulsing beats and technical fills. "We write our music trying to keep everyone in mind so that everyone can get something."
After a year of intense writing and playing shows when not practicing, Everthorn finally found the time to begin recording their CD with Mark Drury from Nashville Tennessee. The album titled "O Cain, Your Brother Loves You" is a diverse album with over a year of work put into it. "We are very proud of the outcome..."
The word "love" is used so much that it could be considered cliche to use in an album title, but Everthorn hopes to exemplify a true God-like love. With this in mind, the band chose Cain, the first murderer from the Bible who killed his own brother as an example of how far God's love can reach. "We hope that people can relate with Cain and know that God as well as us love them no matter what," band member Elijah says.
Released on April 5th, 2008 Everthorn hopes to find a great response and is planning their first national tour on the west coast this summer. On stage, Everthorn shares their love for Christ through a unique show with insane energy and professionalism. "It's and exciting atmosphere. Creating the album has been fun and we hope everyone can come out and experience it with us."
