Before age 19, Stephen Petree was signed to the Geffen, Giant and RCA record labels as a member of the teen act, PC Quest. Along with his brother Chad, he had hit singles like, Can I Call You My Girl and After the Summer’s Gone, that hit Billboard's Top 50 and 60 respectively. Stephen went on to record four independent rock CDs with the band Paradigm, which he founded with his brother Chad, lead singer of the Universal Records rock group Shiny Toy Guns. Since moving to L.A. from Oklahoma in 2002, Stephen has released two independent CDs: “Run” and “Resolve To Relax”. All the while, he was increasing the momentum of his fan base by touring all over Southern California. He also embarked on several national tours, as well as appeared on national television. As a former member of Shiny Toy Guns, Stephen co-wrote three singles put out by the band in 2007 (“We Are Pilots”, Universal Records) Le Disko, You Are The One, and Rainy Monday. His co-writes helped the band attain 3 top hits on modern rock charts, one 1 video on Fuse, and a 1 iTunes song in the U.K. Stephen’s songwriting efforts for Shiny Toy Guns’ “We are Pilots” album, garnered the band a 2007 Grammy Album Of The Year nomination.

Stephen’s songs have been featured in television shows such as "Dancing With The Stars," "America's Next Top Model,” "So You Think You Can Dance," "Guiding Light". He’s also written the theme songs for "Tour TV” and "Actionhouse T.V." MTV has featured songs he has co-written on several shows, (as well as worldwide commercials for Honda and Motorola). "I've waited my whole life to be in the position I'm in now. The songs are better than ever, my band is tight, the vision is clear, and my mission is focused: Affect and infect the Global community with passionate melodies poured out from a heart that has visited seemingly every season of the soul”. - Stephen
