In a decade where music fans are constantly looking for the next big thing, Farebridge emerges from the Midwest music scene as a powerful contender. The female-fronted band from Indianapolis combines edge with energy resulting in an infectious form of indie rock.
Originally established under the name This Return as a means for local band competitions, the duo of guitarist Aaron Eberly and keyboardist Tyler Miller soon doubled to include drummer Lee Eisenbarth and vocalist Melanie Borders. Bassist Nick Berry, formerly of Fairweather Fan, rounds out the five-piece that is Farebridge.
Like so many bands, the members of Farebridge draw on diverse influences. So it comes as no surprise that their music straddles the line between Pop-Rock and a more Alternative sound. Still, those searching for comparisons may describe the sound of Farebridge as a blend of Rock-driven Paramore and the melodic purity of A Fine Frenzy.
Their new EP, "Time is an Undertow" recognizes the tension of seeking peace and truth in an ever-changing, ever-chaotic world. And for the members of Farebridge, a focus steadied on faith is the sole motivator.
The focus of Farebridge has allowed the band to develop as a fierce contender in many Battle of the Bands competitions. These showcases have included the Ichthus Music Festival, where they placed second, as well as the annual Agape Fest, where they won first place, performing alongside nationally established acts such as Relient K, Family Force 5, Deas Vail, and Run Kid Run. Along with these awards, Farebridge has garnered a number of sponsorships that include: Glaceau Vitamin Water, Audio Technica, Evans Drumheads, Silverfox Drumsticks and Risen Drums.
