Altar’d is a four-piece Christian Alternative Rock band from Alexandria, Louisiana. The band has toured tirelessly for five years all across the United States from South Carolina to California and nearly everywhere in between, building friendships and a fan base by putting on an explosive live rock show and bringing the presence of God through intense worship. 2008 saw the tour schedule fill, with Altar’d performing 145 shows throughout the year, sharing the stage with artists such as Toby Mac, Skillet, Family Force Five, Seventh Day Slumber, Ruth, and Britt Nicole at festivals such as Creation Northwest, Big Spring Jam, X-fest, ChristJam, and Christfest. Now with four albums under their belt, the band has found the sound that truly resonates with their audience. The latest album, the Falling EP, is a five song preview of a 2010 full length release. The EP, produced and recorded by Dove Award winning and Grammy Nominated Barry Blair (Audio Adrenaline), becomes available August of 2009 and has their two hit songs, “Falling” and “Take Me Away”, as well as, their first global radio single, “You Are There” which starts spinning July 28, 2009. The band’s 2007 release, “LIVE”, is a cd/dvd of their live show which received much acclaim, earning the band Independent Christian Music nominations for Rock Album of the Year, Rock Band of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year (“I Am Not Ashamed”).
