RH has played venues that range from thirty college students in a dorm lounge with nothing but an acoustic guitar and the Holy Spirit to opening for national acts such as This Fire's Embrace, Our Hearts Hero, and Disciple. These experiences have given the group of brothers not only experience in ministry through musical performance, but the ability to personally connect to an audience.
Seth Montgomery and Ricky Jackson ministered locally with one guitar and two voices years before RH had come into existence. In January 2008, Montgomery and Jackson decided to expand their ministry by adding Chris Mohr, Rex McKinniss, and Ryan Jackson. Since their humble beginnings, this group has challenged the Midwest to change it's opinion of what Christian music really is.
With influences such as Remedy Drive, Leeland, David Crowder, Third Day, and MercyMe, Romans Highway offers a very original sound. Another aspect to the group that sets them apart is their ability to perform an acoustic show. With Mohr on the percussion box (cajun) and the rest unplugged, the atmosphere can instantly change to pure worship.
Since Romans Highway’s beginning in January of 08, they have recorded their debut album “November”, which was released on April 4, 2009.
