That statement has become more than just a concept for Aaron Hale. It’s a new way of living life; a way of focusing on other people and having a self-assurance that comes from knowing that we all belong to a greater whole.
That is the idea behind Aaron Hale’s new self-titled and self-released EP.
“We can only be human together,” Hale says. “Our lives are woven together and we are all in this together. We all want to feel like we are a part of something bigger than ourselves and we want to be interconnected with each other.
“We all want to know that we aren't alone in our sadness, our loneliness, our confusion and our doubt. We want our hearts to beat together and to be anchored in each other. We all want to be important and for our lives to mean something. We aren’t meant to be alone.”
Aaron Hale believes that the love of music is a powerful way to bring people together. He hopes that his music will do just that.
“What if we all decided to move past superficiality and gave of ourselves to the people around us?” Hale asks. “Wouldn’t it be incredible to find out that we aren’t alone, and that there are people around us who need our help, and are even willing to help us?”
Hale has also been able to take this philosophy and merge it with his heart for the people of Africa, working with Omega Mission International, Compassion International, Invisible Children, Light Gives Heat, and many other non-profit organizations with a focus in Africa.
Aaron Hale has toured the nation extensively in the past, and has just recently settled down in Kansas City, where he has been gearing up to hit the road again with a new record and a new band.
“We can't do it on our own,” says Hale. “We need each other. But most importantly we need Jesus Christ, who created us to be together. All of us.”
“I am because of you… You are because of me. I am because we are.”
