The story of Angelo and Veronica is like a scene out of West Side Story. A beautiful Puerto Rican girl from New York City and a handsome Italian man from the city of Boston meet and fall in love. Unlike the movie, Angelo and Veronica's love perseveres against all odds, all racial and cultural barriers. Married now for sixteen years, and with seven hit albums to their credit, Angelo and Veronica still bring music that is deeply personal and universally relevant. Their love and dedication for God and each other never ceases to waver and only grows stronger with time.
- Angelo started his professional career at 13 years old and traveled with numerous bands across the country. Angelo was also known as the top jingle singer in the city of Boston for many years.
- Angelo attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1978-79 along side with Quincy Jones, Pat Matheny and Gary Burton.
- Angelo trained vocally with world-renowned vocal teacher, Eddie Watson and also studied guitar and piano with world famous music professor, Charlie Bonacas.
- Veronica has trained vocally since the age of 13 and is currently still studying with renowned vocal instructor Randy Buescher, a Seth Riggs associate.
- Veronica began her professional career as a vocalist at age 14 with the brother of the original Menudo in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
- Veronica attended the famous Johnny Colon School of Music in East Harlem in 1985-86.
- In 1987 Veronica also attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston to further her training as a vocalist and songwriter, where she sang with the likes of Paula Cole, Susan Tedeschi, Lalah Hathaway (daughter of the late Donny Hathaway), and with Roy Hargrove. Also, while at Berklee she sang background vocals on CBS Christmas CD with Harry Connick, Jr.
- In 1991 Angelo and Veronica signed their first recording contract as duo Angelo and Veronica with a major gospel label (Benson Records), where they recorded four records, "Higher Place", " A&V", " Give Your Life", and "Da Tu Vida" (Spanish). They were booked through world-renowned William Morris Agency. They also recorded a fifth record for their black division label (Verity Records), entitled " Not Enough". They worked with top producers Fred Hammond of Commissioned and RFC, Donald Lawrence, Brian Lennox and Percy Bady. The CD" Higher Place" was distributed by A&M Records for the mainstream audience with the single entitled "I Love You more".
- Hit songwriter Diane Warren saw Angelo and Veronica performing at the Dove awards show and asked if she could pitch a couple of songs for the CD. They accepted and recorded two songs, "Now That I Found You" and "No Doubt About It" on the CD entitled A&V.
- In 1999 Angelo and Veronica signed with New York label, Harmony Records a division of Sony, Inc., where they recorded one CD entitled "Change". The producers on this CD include Jay Moss of Pajam and Michael J. Powell (producer for Anita Baker and Aretha Franklin).
- Angelo and Veronica have sung background vocals on many other recordings with Michael Bolton, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Kirk Whalem, Carmen, Anointed, Take 6, Tommy Simms (producer for Michael Bolton and Bruce Springsteen and songwriter of " Change The World"). They recently sang on Bill Champlain's (lead singer of Chicago) new record. Angelo and Veronica are not only known for their abilities as singers, they have collaborated with many great songwriters such as Fred Hammond, Jay Moss and Percy Bady.
- For the past fifteen years Angelo and Veronica has been traveling the world on many tours with major artists such as Kirk Franklin, Iyanla Vanzant (as seen on Oprah Winfrey), Fred Hammond, Commissioned, CeCe Winans, Karen Clark and the Clark Sisters, Vicki Winans, Jennifer Holiday, Daryl Coley, Donny McClurklin, Sandy Patti, 4Him, Michael English and many others. They have made numerous television appearances on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel and TBN.
- Angelo and Veronica's songwriting repertoire includes over a hundred songs including" God Knows", "You Chose Me", "Higher Place", "Emotional", "Change" and "Praise the Lord/Alabar al Senior", Veronica also wrote a number one song for CCM recording artist (Tammy Trent), entitled "Your Love is for Always".
- Angelo and Veronica have made numerous appearances on "Urban Countdown with Walt' Baby' Love," a syndicated radio show whose guests have included Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross and Janet Jackson.
-Angelo has produced and co-produced for numerous artist including Angelo and Veronica, Israel Houghton, Aaron Bagwell, Alana Blackwell and Atlanta Gospel Choir.
- Angelo and Veronica are recipients of three Dove awards including contemporary Black Gospel song of the year and urban album of the year. Also, they received a GMWA excellence award nomination and Dove award nomination for best new artist.
- Angelo and Veronica opened for the Temptations at Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, AZ.
- They have sung the National Anthem for the NFL team Chicago Bears and NBA team Phoenix Suns.
- Veronica has topped Billboard magazine at number one on the Gospel adult contemporary chart with Clint Brown's CD entitled " One Nation under Praise".
- Veronica's song "Dare to Dream" was chosen for the 2006 Special Olympics and was performed there by LaShell Griffin, Oprah Winfrey's pop idol winner.
- In August of 2006 Veronica closed a show with Elton John and Chevy Chase at the famous Millennium Park in downtown Chicago.
- In May of 2007 Angelo and Veronica visited the White House for the National Day of Prayer with President George Bush and Dr. Charles and Shirley Dobson. They also met many distinguished Senators from around the country including Sen. Hillary Clinton.
- Veronica is releasing her very first solo CD in Spanish entitled "Atrevete a Soņar" in 2009. She is recording in her hometown of Puerto Rico with acclaimed producers Angelo Petrucci, Isaac Sakko, Carlos Cintron and Richard Marcel. Veronica has also created a network to help women with their self-esteem, self-worth and body image called " A Voice for Women". She has also created a collection of songs for this cause entitled " A Voice for Women". She is also working on her very first video for the song "Atrevete a Soņar".
- Angelo and Veronica have released the long awaited new CD in 2009 entitled "Still in Love" on Itunes. It is a collection of songs celebrating marriage and family.
- Angelo and Veronica have recently been ordained Worship Pastors at Word of Truth International in September of 2008.
- Angelo and Veronica have an upcoming performance on BET Network's Bobby Jones Gospel Show in March 2009.
- Angelo and Veronica have had the honor to be asked to sing at the Presidential Inauguration on January 17th, 2009.
