Stonewashed is a Dutch band. It's founded by Bram and Esther van Dijk.

Here is an excerpt from Stonewashed's CD "Joshua", where they explain why they started:  "On the 23rd of October 2003, our son Joshua was born.  Two days later he died of a heart disease.  He gave us the spirit and courage to finally get started with this CD-project.  He is and will always be the driving force behind Stonewashed.  The two days we spent with him in hospital we sang songs for him, but one day we'll sing songs together with him."
