>>> With confidence and a leap of faith, Matthew Fogle entered the Christian rock realm in 2009 after playing the secular indie rock scene for eight years. Fans are now describing his music as an edgy rock twist to contemporary Christian – Live meets Chris Tomlin. The excitement is growing, and Matthew is stacking the cards to play in and around Louisville, KY, and eventually (God willing) a regional circuit in 2010.
Matthew’s latest EP, Plea:491, was recorded in November of 2009 at the awesome Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN, and produced by Chris Mara. Five original Christian rock songs decorate the EP, each exalting Jesus Christ in its own unique way. Prayerfully, the music will touch the lives of many people. Promotion and marketing of the EP is ongoing through music stores in Louisville, at live shows, and online at matthewfogle.cc, CDBaby, iTunes, and Amazon, to name a few.
The journey towards Plea:491 began over 10 years ago when - with the same musical knowledge as an oil can - Matthew started singing melodies onto a cassette tape (yes, a cassette tape). The tape was soon full of original material, and it became a catalyst for a future songwriter and performer, and inspired him to buy his first acoustic guitar. Since then, Matthew has played in hundreds of shows (400+), both in bands and in his solo career.
Now it’s all in the hands of God, for God is at the center of Matthew’s life. “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” – Isaiah 25:1. Enjoy the music, and God bless! <<<
