Bracing for Downpour is a Christian Rock band out of Canada that is fronted by 2 brothers, Arnel and Scott Ethier. Arnel is lead vocals, plays guitars and keyboards, while Scott plays drums and backup vocals. Ever since the brothers have played music together, they have had a passion for creating music that moves people. In other words, music that puts you in a groove and keeps you there. All the lyrics come with a filled message that cause the listener to question and think. Their sound has a guitar-centered contemporary rock style, with songs that don’t shrink back from issues of truth in a contemporary world. This is all finished off with vocals that are strong and passionate.

Arnel and Scott come from strong Christian backgrounds, playing in several worship teams since they were just entering their teen years. With the split of a previous band Arnel and Scott were faced with an important decision. Both of the brothers wanted to continue playing in a band and sought God’s plan for the right path in their music venture. As they prayed and discussed several options, they decided they would start a 2-man band and record every instrument between the two of them. This caused an imaginative playing style with no limit to the genre or style. The main goal of BFD is to impact their listeners, while providing a vehicle of entertainment in every show to draw in the believer and non-believer alike.
