Heather Vassar was born and raised in a small, west Texas town called Big Spring. As most kids do, Heather found a love for sports and in particular for girl's softball. From the very young age of five all the way through high school, softball was her life.
Upon graduating high school, Heather received an offer to play softball at Texas Tech University. This had been a dream of hers and she thought this is exactly what life would look like. However, it was there that she realized that God was changing her dreams and preparing her for a completely new direction.
In her second year at college, Heather found a new passion – music. She began playing any instrument she could get her hands on. Teaching herself to play the guitar, piano, drums, and the violin, Heather soon began writing songs.
She recently graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 2009 with a Marketing degree and also attended South Plains Junior College for Commercial Music Performance.
In August 2009, Heather met Don Koch, an award-winning Nashville producer, and immediately began work on her new record "Chasing Beautiful". With the record now complete and with two successful radio singles("Chasing Beautiful" & "I Don't Want to Be Free"), Heather looks forward to the official release of Chasing Beautiful in January of 2011 and her first radio tour.
