Words Alone, ALS's debut album, features works written or arranged by Jonas Reilley over that past 8 years of his spiritual journey. Collaborating with musicians from his home church of Calvary, A Lovely Surrender was born of a desire to worship openly, freely, and often. Reilley, along with Brad Gober, Alex Paulison, and Phil Lucia have combined efforts to create a musical atmosphere both consistent with their lyrical content and to the movement of His Holy Spirit in this present day. The album swings from upbeat and attacking modern rock like the opening track "Heartbeat," "Sing it Out," and the title track, "Words Alone", to introspective and melodic rock ballads like "Incense," "Life for the Taking," and "Overflow." ALS has also put their touch on two traditional hymns in this collection. All in all, it's an in depth look into the faith of these four men and their heartfelt attempt to reach the church with a call to honest, reverent Worship through response and obedience to the Word.
