Leaving September was meant to be the solo act of lead singer Adam Denevic, but after some arm-twisting and coaxing from Faith Cafe' organizer Keith Rhine a local Erie band was formed. That was four years ago. What was meant to be a one-night performance quickly curtailed into something much bigger, and the guys haven't looked back. Though the band has gone through many face-lifts on the percussion and bass side, this has not discouraged them from their ultimate goal - making music that doesn't sell out but speaks directly to the good 'ole days of Christian Rock and to the heart. Adam (lead vocals, guitarist), Ryan (vocals, guitarist), and Rob (lead) believe that the journey was and continues to be the most important element in what makes Leaving September, well, Leaving September. Though, they say, there have been hard times, these experiences allowed them to grow in ways only God meant. The release of their first studio album was a major accomplishment and a lifelong dream, but there is much more to come and the members hope to be doing this for a long time.
