10StepsBack is a group of young guys who have a passion for music and like to express themselves with it. They are from Buford, Georgia with ages ranging from 13 years old to 16 years old. Their music is considered a mix between the energized rock of Switchfoot, Anberlin, and MUTEMATH to the melodic voice of U2. Although a young band, 10StepsBack has a live show experience passing the tests of much older musicians. Playing college, high school and middle school shows, benefits, fairs, festivals, along with city and church sponsored events, have kept them busy but drives them to do more. The band is constantly expanding their music to include new originals, along with some crowd favorite covers. 

 

Aspirations to accomplish something big and to have their music make a positive impact in someone’s life, is the goal. The guys say, “In a world full of uncertainty and hopelessness, we want to show people a greater hope to believe in, a way to make a difference in someone’s life, a way of moving forward through the day to day and setting your eyes on the true prize of life; not the temporary things of this world but eternal things that really matter.” 

 

The band consists of frontman Ian Taylor (guitar, vocals and piano), Dalton Hampton (percussion), and London Taylor (bass and backing vocals). Ian states the bands drive; "In a world full of uncertainty and hopelessness, we want to show people a greater hope to believe in, to make a difference in someone's life, a way of moving forward through the day to day.”
