The boys in Dream Cannon are at it again. In August of 2011, the guys returned to studio to record a third song in their "Motions" series. ("Kodiac" and "Clock Tower" can be found on the band's "Illusions" EP released earlier this year.). Front runner Daniel Elder says "this is easily our best work yet". The band stays true to their unique sound and melodies, while adding a more driving guitar/rock sound. For "Lorelei's Melody", the band again utilized producer Jessy Ribordy (front runner of Falling Up, The River Empires, and The Gloomcatcher). Josh Shroy (drummer for Falling Up) mixed the album at The Castle House Studio (Lebanon, OR). "Lorelei's Melody" was mastered by Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Mastering (Maroon5, Black-Eyed Peas, Alison Krauss, Thursday, etc)
Dream Cannon released their first EP in late February 2011. Produced by Jessy Ribordy of Falling Up, "Illusions" exemplifies musical growth and maturity among its elements. Shimmering keyboard and synth elements, a compelling drum presence, simple-yet catchy-melodies with pure and powerful vocal lines, give each song its own sound while still having a flow from start to finish. Album was mixed by Josh Shroy (The Castle House), mastered by Tom Waltz (Waltz Mastering).
