Julianna Zobrist is a rural Iowa City girl, raised on classical music, Michael Jackson, and farm-grown corn. Although you would never consider her an introvert now, while growing up, Julianna was content to sit in her bedroom with her headphones on, writing poetry or reading her father's medical encyclopedias. She had two dreams: to be a singer/communicator and to be a microbiologist. After beginning classical piano lessons at age seven, her continued pursuit of music brought her to Nashville, TN, where her study of voice and piano quickly earned her jobs in various music industry management roles including working with Plumb and Women Of Faith. 
 
At the age of 21, Julianna's wedding gift from her groom, Ben Zobrist (Chicago Cubs), was a midi keyboard, microphone, and a laptop equipped with a recording program. She began formulating her poetry into song as a means of expressing her heart, asking questions of God, and recounting the things He was doing in her life as she and Ben navigated the newfound territories of marriage and Major League Baseball.  With their platform of baseball and music, Julianna and Ben wrote their autobiography (Double Play), spoke and performed at churches, conferences, and schools sharing a message of hope in Christ nationwide.  
 
Currently, Julianna is speaking and performing at conferences, churches and events while simultaneously preparing to release a new album, Shatterproof on May 6.  She is also writing her second book exploring the meaning and qualities of ‘shatterproof women’.  Julianna’s message has been described as confident, immediate, approachable, authentic, energetic, joyful, strong, freeing, and definitely relatable.  One conversation with Julianna and you feel like you’ve been her best friend for life.  Julianna is a straight shooter, transparent, real and will have you smiling and laughing at the craziness of life one minute and in the next moment, diving into deep spiritual truths that shape us in our daily struggles and victories.   
 
While orchestrating her passions of marriage, encouraging women, motherhood, and music into a full life is not easy, she is resolute to employ her gifts for a purpose. “I want the gospel to saturate what I do,” Julianna says. “If our lives end with loving ourselves then we miss the point. We are to be sacrifices, living testimonies that seep Gospel out of every pore, so that in every song, every confrontation, every dialogue, every sermon, every testament, we radiate the truth of our acceptance by God because of the Righteousness of Christ. Nothing more, nothing less.”
 
Julianna’s message and music is for anyone who wants to express the joy and freedom of knowing that Christ gives them the strength to be bold, fearless, and confidently vulnerable knowing that you don’t have to measure up to what others think of you but rather, knowing your true strength can shine because of who you are in Christ.
