First Call a Contemporary Christian music (CCM) group, originally consisting of Melodie Tunney, Marty McCall, and Bonnie Keen formed in the mid-1980's. Organized as a ready-made vocal group for projects, they contributed background vocals to numerous albums before recording their first album “Evening in December” in 1985. They then followed that with an additional four albums including a second Christmas album.
Around 1989, Mel Tunney departed and was replaced with Marabeth Jordon, also a studio background singer. Three more albums followed before Jordon left amidst scandal in 1994. McCall and Keen, although unsure about the group’s future, eventually continued ... as a duo. Since then, Marty and Bonnie have recorded two projects as First Call, and each also has done solo projects as well.
Tunney reunited with the group to record “Rejoice”, an a cappella hymn collection, in 2007.
They are featured on 1989's "Our Hymns" singing "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" & 1990's "Our Christmas" singing "Angels We Have Heard On High".
