Growing up in Ontario, Canada Jonathan and his family travelled every week to their home church in Port Huron, MI. He's always made his home in both Canada and the United States.
After Graduating Moody Bible Institute with his BA in Theology and moving on to get his MA in MInistry from Bethel College, Jonathan worked as a worship leader at his home Church. From there his home church sent him and a friend to plant VOX CHURCH at only 25 years of age. (www.voxchurch.com)
Jonathan loves the local church and writes most of his songs with the local church in mind. He's been compared to Chris Tomlin, and many have said his songs not only have depth people are craving but they are "corporate friendly" as well.
His second album "GREAT EXCHANGE" which is set for release June 26th is full of singable melodies combined with rock solid theology that will bring a fresh feel in many churches worship services.
Jonathan writes all of his own songs and hopes that they will be used to glorify God in and through His Church. Though Jonathan's songs are progressively growing on the radio market, and his opportunities for playing shows with great artists like Aaron Shust and Matt Maher are expanding, his main passion is that the Church will sing His songs and find themselves caught up again in the wonder of who God is and what He's done for us in Christ and the "GREAT EXCHANGE".
