Cadence is a 5 piece Christian rock band comprised of all family members: Donny Karpinen (lead vocals/ guitar/keys), his sister Carrie Karpinen (drummer), and his wife Brittany Karpinen (vocals) make up three of the five. Jeffrey Sward (bass) and Andrew Sward (lead electric guitar) are brothers and are both siblings of Brittany Karpinen (maiden name Sward). Yeah we know… it’s confusing to us too.
Cadence writes and performs music that is both commercial and congregational. The band started out as and remains a significant part of their church, Victory Christian Center in Boca Raton, FL. Cadence has shared the stage with artists that include Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Redman, Sanctus Real, and many more. The band hits the stage with high energy performances, but they are just as passionate about Jesus’ mandate to be servants of all first and foremost, and this is evident through their daily lives as musicians and Christians.
Beautiful Sound and Poetic Lyrics| Posted August 29, 2014
They are really good! Very beautiful and current music, almost unearthily beautiful vocals, and poetic, worshipful lyrics. Definitely a group I'd like to learn more about and hear more from.

I really love your song "Forgiveness", I've listened to it so many times! The lyrics really speak to me! Love that you all are so young and already living out your lives for Christ and spreading His light with your music! You guys are one of my new favorite bands! Can't wait to see all that God has in store for you all!

I love their song "Awake" and "Forgiveness." I love how they gave the song "Forgiveness" for free. And I really really really love Abandon and was happy to know that they opened for them. Because that means that Cadence has really good music! Give a listen. They sounded really really good!

I love family bands! You can tell from their music how connected they are and how they can feed off each other. I bet they are awesome live!
