Brian Nhira, born and raised in the Midwest, with soaring vocals and unique range began singing when he was just four years old. He often recalls his first musical experience as his parents lovingly “pushing” him onto a stage at a small church in Oklahoma and telling him to sing “Jesus Love Me!” Shy with a bit of stage fright he faced his fears that day and hasn’t looked back. It is such experiences and performances at over 500 events in 14 states and 4 countries that are molding Brian into the musician so many people have come to admire.
Music is what Brian lives, not just something he does. “My hearts desire is not fame. My only aspiration is for the message God has placed in me, through the medium of music, to be heard by everyone that might benefit from it,” Brian recently said. And, that is precisely the impact his music is making.
Brian spent much of his early to mid teen years sharpening his songwriting and vocal skills; then in 2012 as a sophomore in college, at Oral Roberts University, he released an EP fittingly titled “Hope EP.” The writing, vocal performance, and production quality of the EP helped formally introduce him to the listening public as a musician to watch for in the coming years.
Outside of graduating from college and performing at over 60 events in 2014, Brian devoted much of his time to working on his debut album Hope’s Stand that is set for release on February 25th, 2015.
Each track on the Hope’s Stand album holds its own and takes the listener on an honest journey through their life and equally important how they view and treat other peoples experiences. The albums ultimate goal is to reintroduce Hope as a driving force in our daily lives.
Brian’s goal, in his professional music career, is for the messenger to never overshadow the message. He recently made the telling statement, “With every lyric I write and note I sing my hope is to, first and foremost, be a catalyst for hope, healing and restoration.”
