Nic and Rachael Billman have been writing songs together since they were 13 years old. Their music is new and unique, and they often hear, “I don't know who to compare you to.”
All of their songs come from spontaneous moments in worship and many of them come from their times alone with the Lord. They grew up listening to a variety of music including worship artists like Jason Upton, David Ruis, and Kevin Prosch; 90's alternative rock like Live and Pearl Jam; and singer-songwriters like Bob, Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson.
Their passion is to hear and release the song that the Father sings over the children and then help the children sing back to the Father. They have led worship all over the world, whether it's on sidewalks or in arenas, their heart is the same: worship.
In addition to being worshippers Nic and Rachael are the founders and overseers of Shores of Grace Ministries. Shores of Grace is a worship and missionary ministry currently headquartered in Recife, Brazil. Our focus is setting those in prostitution free and walking them through restoration; taking the love of the Father to the poor and the broken, helping them see their true value, and equipping and serving the church in Brazil. We are currently about to open up our first rescue home, Project Bethany, to take in kids out of sex trafficking, abusive situations, the streets, prostitution, etc.
We are also working on acquiring land to open a village with 50 homes that would house 1,000 children in the Northeast of Brazil One hundred percent of the proceeds of our CD sales go straight to the rescuing of these precious sons and daughters. Many of the songs that they have written were on the streets while encountering the Fathers love for these beautiful people. We want to be the voice for those who have no voice in this world.
