The EDM craze is reaching everybody these days.  Although the number of Christian artists in this genre are limited, there continue to be new bands or singers that have taken an EDM turn, some by more well-known artists like tobymac.

G-Powered is no exception.  They make the perfect fusion of Christian music with the popular European electronic music in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe.  Originally from Finnland, this group is known for using both English and Finnish lyrics, and all worship and gospel-centered music.

G-Powered formed in 2005 when Miia Rautkoski was going to study at Jyvaskyla, Finland when she heard about a producer who wanted vocals for a new band he was forming.  So Miia contacted the producer, Kimmo Korpela by name, and started production at his house.  Miia had already written some songs, which Kimmo then put into production.  The songs were finished and G-Powered was born.

They released their debut album, Odottanut oon, at the Matta Nakyvissa Festival in November 2006.  The album was later uploaded to iTunes in the U.S.A. in April of 2008.  They have since released 3 other albums: 2 Finnish and 1 English.  These are Todellisuus (2008), Trust (2010), and Tahdon Iuotta (2011).  

G-Powered continues to deliver uplifting lyrics through the ever-growing genre of Electronic Dance Music.

in 2013, Miia withdrew from the band to focus on a solo career, and Susanna Korhonen became the new vocalist.
