What if you took the lid off your life and just grabbed everything you could around you and used it to help someone else find joy and hope in their life? What if there were no preconceived ideas about how we help to bring the hope of God into the heart of someone who's empty and hurting? When this record came together that's what Steve Hare said "I felt, like I just took the lid off my life and let God pour opportunity into my soul! He pulled in new ways on my own heart strings resulting in this new record, Heart Like Your Own.
The first song out is the newest single release, "A Heart Like Your Own," with it's fun, pop beat also beats the strong message of just how much we need to let God have control.
"When God gets to bust our typical rhythm, He makes us into something better than we thought was possible. It's the God-addition that makes someone the person they are meant to be," Steve says. "When Seth Mosely, my producer, came to me with this song, I couldn't stop singing the hook: 'Take my heart won't you break it a part and replace it with a heart like your own.' It's really the bottom line of who I am and the message I want to share. We have to give it up to God, everything, because if we don't we'll never know what it's like to take the lid off and get free from the things that hold us back, like ourselves, opinions, people, the status quo. We can grab on to so much more and really reach out to help someone else, when we are empty of ourselves and full of God."

This is why I so dig NewReleaseTuesday because it give the general public the opportunity to hear new artists and Steve Hare is very entertaining. I have enjoyed listening to this pre-release and definitely recommend this album to all. Steve working alongside Seth Moseley (producer) has created a superb hip hop, TOP 40 type album reminiscient of TobyMAC, Group 1 Crew. Do not miss out on this album.
