Chris quickly disarms you with his powerful voice, friendly laid back demeanor and then blind sides you with his introspective lyrics. Most of the time saying what everyone is only thinking.
Chris Prefers the intimate setting of a coffee house or small group over larger and sometime impersonal venue.
Never really wanting any notoriety or recognition for his music, Chris Westbrooks can't help but get it. Certainly not for his sake but for the undeniable relationship he has with Jesus Christ and the way that relationship flows out, more like a gush, from his vocals and the music.
His debut song, 'He's Not' is the perfect reflection of Chris' encouragement to truly discover who Jesus is instead of taking someone's word for it. In fact many of the songs are wide open and vunerable, a quality often lost in the lyrical content world of a cleaned up apparently perfect Christian scene.
Chris lives that attitude to his relationship with God in real life. In public prayers you might often hear the word Dude and other common vanacular instead of traditional words.
Not wanting to center of himself Chris seems to avoid any serious photographs and even serious bio's about him. So for the record here is the BIO he submitted to EV.
Badger is the common name for any animal of three subfamilies, which belong to the family Mustelidae: the same mammal family as the ferrets, the weasels, the otters, and several other types of carnivore. There are 9 species of badger, in three subfamilies: Melinae (the Eurasian badgers), Mellivorinae, (the Ratel or honey badger), and Taxidinae (the American badger). The name is possibly derived from the word badge, on account of the marks on the head; or it may be identical with the term noted below, the French blaireau being used in both senses. Typical badgers (Meles, Arctonyx, Taxidea and Mellivora species) are short-legged and heavy-set. The lower jaw is articulated to the upper, by means of a transverse condyle firmly locked into a long cavity of the cranium, so that dislocation of the jaw is all but impossible. This enables the badger to maintain its hold with the utmost tenacity.
The collective name for a group of badgers is a 'cete'.
A common nickname of the badger in the British Isles is 'brock,' a rare example of a word from early Celtic surviving in English: similar words remain in Gaelic (broc) and Welsh (broch).
Because of their fidelity and gentle nature, badgers are seen by some as a symbol of love and loyalty.
