After You is not only a band but an idea. Writing songs that are simply honest and not limited by any sound or style. "We love the freedom to write music from the heart and have learned that the heart feels different emotions everyday, so naturally our songs are very different from each other but they still have a flow." After releasing their self titled debut album "After You" in Dec. 2008, After You has toured the West Coast with many great bands, pushing their music to a new level. In Jan. 2010, After You revealed their diversity in music writing when they released their EP "Stay the Same" which had a much softer vibe then their first album "After You". "Our musical background started by playing acoustic music, so we thought it would be a good change of pace to release a EP that showed that side of our music writing" After You is now in the studio working on their currently untitled full length album that is set to be released in the late summer of 2010. "We are very excited about the new full length! We have grown so much since our first album and are excited to share what we consider to be the best music we've written!"
After You became largely inactive in 2010, with several of the members going on to form Dream Canon, a rock band focusing on a more "ambient pop" sound than After You.
In May 2013, it was announced that After You was working on their second full-length album, to be released in the summer of 2013. The album details are mostly unknown, but many of the songs on it were taken from Dream Canon's cancelled "EVOLution" EP.
