Bassey Essien (BA-C SCN) migrated to the United States few years ago from Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria in West Africa. Bassey (BA-C SCN) is a son of a preacher who happened to discover his music talent by mistake while escorting his friend to choir practice at the church. It's a long story!
Bassey (BA-C) has a music degree as well as other academic degrees in Communications (multimedia), Information Technology (computer networking & engineering), and masters degree in Project Management.
Bassey (BA-C) writes, arranges, plays and sings. He plays trumpet, the piano/keyboard and other instruments, but he enjoys writing the songs. Bassey is also a recording engineer, and owns a studio in his house.
This album is a ten-track CD with a combination of Contemporary, R&B Gospel, Reggae, and Jazz which includes: Let's Dance/Yak Inek Unek, The Lord our God is Good (remix), Jesus Edi (is) my Refuge, Tell the World About His Love and the title track, I Believe featuring Ryan Daniel, Xross, Tiki Kabambe, and other artists, produced by Ben Obi of Savanna Street Music. Some proceeds of this album will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation and The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.tg.stjude.org).
Bassey (BA-C) now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and continues with his music career.
