Erica Campbell and her sister Tina Campbell broke through in 2000 as Mary Mary with the pioneering hit “Shackles (Praise You).” Mary Mary has earned numerous Stellar Music and Dove Awards, four Grammy Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, two American Music Awards, a Soul Train Award, and a BET Award.
After seven Mary Mary albums and a lifetime (plus 14 years of professionally singing) with sister Tina, Erica released her debut solo album Help in 2014, a compelling, impressive body of work that is both passionate and meaningful. Help held the #1 slot on the Billboard Gospel chart for 7 weeks, in addition to peaking at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Erica received a 2014 Grammy Award nomination for single “A Little More Jesus” as well as an ASCAP Award win and Dove Award win for that song as well. She has also received the 2014 Soul Train Award for Best Inspirational/Gospel Song for the title track, “Help,” featuring Lecrae.
In addition to her debut, Erica stars in the hit WE tv reality show Mary Mary, which helped make WE tv a top five cable network on Thursday nights among women 18-49 and 25-54, and was the #1 show among African American adults and women 18-49 and 25-54, excluding sports. According to Nielsen Social, Mary Mary also ranked among the top five cable reality shows in prime time on Thursday nights.
Erica is married to Grammy Award-winning producer Warryn Campbell II, and they have three children -- Krista Nicole, Warryn III, and Zaya Monique.
Erica also continues to travel with Mary Mary.
