Armed with a boldness to see the kingdom of God flourish, Rachel Armstrong is not an average singer/songwriter. As a Psalmist, Rachel’s heartfelt passion goes well beyond the talent of singing a melodious tune or writing beautiful lyrics. Instead, she desires to draw people closer to God in understanding their true identity in Him. Enlightened by the grace, love, and forgiveness of God in her own life, Rachel has been freed to share the message of Jesus Christ and His incomparable presence with the world.
Hailing from the state of Kansas, Rachel Armstrong travels globally with Mercy Chose Me Ministries (www.mercychoseme.org), declaring the love of God. She released her first single, “Everynite,” in 2001 which won an Award for Best Independent Artist in the Kansas City area. Since then, she has completed an album, entitled “Daily,” which has been sold in North America, South America, Africa, and Europe, as well as the Caribbean Islands. In 2013, she released the single “Best Thing,” which is available for purchase online and is the lead single for the upcoming album, “Passion,” set to be released May 2014.
Having been blessed with the opportunity to share the stage with world-renown artists, Rachel Armstrong continues her journey to fulfill the will of God in her life. She has a love for praise and worship and enjoys watching others embrace the presence of God. She has conducted various workshops and vocal training sessions with choirs and individuals, teaching the true meaning of praise and worship.
Besides singing, Rachel has a heart for the youth. As a mentor, she has spoken to young people about abstinence, as well as the importance of knowing their identity in Christ.
With the release of “Passion,” Rachel, like the Psalmist David, seeks after the very heart of God and brings a message that is clear: “I desire people to come to know the power of the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and know that the beauty of His presence is like none other.”
“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” – Psalm 16:11
