A skilled musician and highly sought after psalmist, David Daughtry has been an essential fixture within the Gospel music and entertainment industries for over a decade. Having been groomed and mentored by some of the industry's finest, Daughtry's matriculation into the industry as a national recording artist seemed destined, almost inevitable. And with his recent announcement - newest recording artist signed to Karen Clark Sheard's Karew Records - it begins. 

Serving his tenure as Director of Praise & Worship at West Angeles COGIC (Bishop Charles E. Blake) and lending his vocals to some of the world's most renown singers (Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams etc.), Daughtry is ready to step into the spotlight as a solo artist, spreading the message of Jesus Christ to all who will receive. 

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daughtry was trained by his mother, who doubled as a spiritual mentor and musical instructor, teaching him to read and play music at the tender age of 6. With a move to Los Angeles, the budding singer/musician found himself strategically placed amongst the stars, affording him opportunities to be part of several nationally televised events including The BET Awards, The Espy Awards, The GRAMMY Awards, X-Factor, American Idol, The American Bible Challenge and more. Daughtry has also appeared in several feature films including First Sunday, Something New & Woman Thou Art Loosed by Bishop T.D. Jakes. 

Now partnering with Karew Records, the label formed by Gospel Music Legend Karen Clark Sheard, Daughtry along with Whitethrone Productions are preparing to release the highly anticipated self-titled release, David Daughtry. A healthy mix of contemporary and traditional praise and worship, Daughtry's debut project endeavors to serve as a bridge between the old and the new, transcending denomination, culture, and generations. A declaration of his praise and adoration, the lead single "God is Great-LEAP!" is a foot stomping, hand clapping, call and response song sure to become an anthem in churches across the world.
