Miika Weimann came from a musical family; his grandfather was a composer and cellist, and his father was a conductor and cellist. Miika began making his own music when he was six years old, starting by playing the violin, but moved on to the cello at seven, because his teacher refused to teach such a rowdy kid. By the age of 8, he was playing drums and at 9 he had his own stereo system.
When Miika turned 21, he was already diving into the world of pop music with influences ranging from classical to contempory Christian artists to pop artists such as Blink 182, David Guetta, Owl City, The Ready Set, Capital Kings, and NSYNC.
After realeasig his first EP, "What Do You Have to Lose", Miika moved to Nashville to further pursue his music career. With the help of his publicist Rob Crowe and music producer Kevin Gates(Cady Groves, The Ready Set) Miika launched a kickstarter campaign and worked on a new single, "In Love With a Dream".
Above Stars recently came out with a new EP, titled "If The Sun Burned Out" featuring the singles "In Love With A Dream" and "Lose Yah Mind(ft. Lancifer) guaranteed to kickstart your summer.
